The Colfax Tactical Black Anodized 80% lower is taken a step further than the non anodized in that it is bead blasted and professionally black anodized. The mil spec anodized surface will provide years of service.

The AR15 Non Anodized 80%

The Colfax Tactical Non anodized 80% lower is hand finished after machining. There is very little to do after completing the fire control pocket and the three holes in the side of the fire control area. The surface is ready for bead blasting, anodizing , painting, or polishing. All of the parting lines are removed, the trigger area is machined, the front of the mag well is machined smooth, and the curved area under the buffer area is hand smoothed to a beautiful finish.

The Colfax Tactical jig was designed for completing our 80% lowers. We machine our jigs in-house on a CNC vertical machining center insuring absolute accuracy. They will securely hold the lower in place while performing the finish machining. Included with the fixture are the necessary dowel pins and socket head cap screws to hold the fixture together.
The jig's hardware is recessed flush with the fixture so that it can be secured in a vise.
The jig has drilled and reamed holes to complete the hammer, trigger, and selector holes. 
These fixture holes will serve as guides for your drill bits. The remainder of our lower is complete in terms of all other necessary holes excluding the fire control pocket. As a result, our jigs are simpler in terms of the pre-machined alignment holes. While there are some very nice competing fixture sets available from the internet, (and at a higher cost), they were often times designed for 80% lowers that required many more holes, steps, and angles that could prove challenging for the first time builder.
For many years, the fixture top plates have been universally offered as an add-on to the lower jig set. We are doing things a bit different than the other guys. Our jigs come complete with side jigs and top plate and all necessary hardware.
We have actually simplified the top plate design. Ours is a one piece unit. Use one end to spot drill the holes and the other end to use as a milling guide. It’s simply a matter of un-bolting, flipping over and re-bolting.
